General Information

Qualifications and Other Requirements
  • Ph.D with at least 10 years post qualification experience for Professorship and 8 years post-qualification experience for Readership in University teaching and research in the relevant fields.
  • Candidates must have outstanding record of scholarly publications along with evidence of considerable teaching and research, demonstrable capacity for academic leadership, as well as proficiency in ICT.
  • Candidates are expected to be registered with the various recognized professional bodies, as applicable.


Position: Senior Lecturer

Qualifications and Other Requirements
  • Ph.D with at least 6 years post-qualification cognate experience supported with a suitable number of publications and ICT proficiency.


Position: Lecturer I

Qualifications and Other Requirements
  • A candidate to be appointed as lecturer II shall normally possess a PhD, in addition to possessing at least a Second Class Honors (Upper Division) Degree in the relevant field.
  • A candidate who has an M.Phil, qualification may be appointed as Lecturer II provided the candidate has a substantial number of publications as well as adequate teaching experience in the University.


Position: Technologist I/II

Salary Package
Salary and allowances which are personal and negotiable are higher than Federal Government-consolidated unitary salary structure. Salary increment is based on productivity and contribution to the development of the University. The university also offers additional beneficial packages to staff.

Retirement and Pension Scheme.
The University operates a contributory Pension Fund as enacted by the Act of the National Assembly. It is mandatory for all staff to take part in the contributory pension scheme. The University shall pay 7 ½ percent of the staff’s monthly basic salary to the pension fund while the staff shall pay 7 ½ percent towards the fund.
A staff shall not be hindered by the University from drawing from the pension scheme.

Position: Human Resource Manager.

Responsibilities:
The scope of work will include but not limited to:
  • Implementing a proper HR system for the Secretariat.

Skills and Competencies Required:

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Take leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with the NGFS’s objectives
  • Effectively plan, design, develop and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support NGFS’s strategic goals
  • In addition, lead performance management, talent assessment and effective labor relationships, including negotiating and administering labor agreements when necessary.
  • For daily tasks, HR Manager will supervise HR staff on issues regarding implementation of policies and procedures, safety of the workforce, recruiting and hiring high-performing employees, and labor, regulatory and other human resources issues.
  • Will direct the development and implementation of organizational development programs; employee orientation and training programs; benefits plans policies and guidelines; database management procedures, equal opportunity employment programs; and employee records and documentation policies. Evaluating effectiveness through compiling and analyzing data will also be a vital function of the HR Manager. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of various reports on HR metrics to ensure needs are met
  • Will ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and industry regulations in order to reduce risk and exposure to the NGFS.
  • Will regularly advise NGFS managers on HR issues related to discipline and employee grievances.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Care, your duties will include but are not limited to:-
  • Assisting customer with general , account and technical queries over the phone
  • Provide and educate customers and potential customers with product and service information
  • Maintain Customer records
  • Make and receive calls as assigned by Head of Customer Care or Designated Supervisor
  • Correctly update the Care Log for every customer/ dealer interaction
  • Identify and escalate priority issues to Head of Customer Care
  • Be pro-active in coming up with ways on how to improve customers’ repayment rate AND reduce default levels
  • Be aware of all on-going incentives &/or bonuses offered to customers
  • Actively participate in team meetings
  • Be pro-active in coming up with realistic ways to better the Customer Care department
  • Report any suspected fraudulent activity to Head of Customer Care
  • Any other duties assigned by the Head of Customer Care
The Person
